ascheri barolo 2005darkish ruby, garnet rim; some volatility initially, sharp, acidic, tar, some funk, oh oh ...; bit of cherry/berry, cinnamon (hint), meagre ... broadened just a touch with time but ...; fine tannins; very acidic/ astringent!, may calm down with age ...; medium weight, short; meaningless at this stage; FIZZLE! does nothing for me ...

had a nice santenay a few days back but forgot the details except that it was a 1er cru, young (2009) but approachable and well priced ... them grey cells are not what they used to be.
