ruby (pale); cherry nose, slightly funky ... hint of damp earth and game, bit of oak there; aforesaid cherry ... dark and nicely ripe, a little beet?; fine grippy tannins; juicy acid; medium bodied; long; great mouthfeel ...; quite elegant but with meat on the bones; doesn't sound like much but it's a really really good package, BANG!

BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - Argentina's president recommended pork as an alternative to Viagra on Wednesday, saying she spent a satisfying weekend with her husband after eating barbecued pork.
"I've just been told something I didn't know; that eating pork improves your sex life ... I'd say it's a lot nicer to eat a bit of grilled pork than take Viagra," President Cristina Fernandez said to leaders of the pig farming industry.
She said she recently ate pork and "things went very well that weekend, so it could well be true."
Argentines are the world's biggest per capita consumers of beef, but the government has sought to promote pork as an alternative in recent years due to rising steak prices and as a way to diversify the meat industry.
"Trying it doesn't cost anything, so let's give it a go," Fernandez said in the televised speech.

ruby, slight rust on the rim; nice nose, hint of blackcurrant, fruit/wood melded, a little metallic?; initially a little flat? but opened up after about 15 min; ... everything's melded nicely, mineral; linear; balanced, soft acid and tannins; medium/light bodied; medium length; sipped it all night;
second echelon to a 5th growth? ... works for me BANG!

ruby ... darker than you'd expect; nice strawb/raspberry, hint of tar, vanilla?; simple fruity flavours; rather hard and tannic; there's some nice acid; unbalanced; that hardness really bugged me; FIZZLE!
early drinking elegance ... nope.
