ruby, thrown a crust; closed nose ... never really opened up, casis, plum, pencil shavings, vanilla hint, cedar?: plummy, berries, some fruitcake, savoury and lean, bit metallic; medium bodied; tannins still firm, enough acid here; longish drying finish; was in the mood for this almost austere drop ... with food; BANG! well priced.
